Very good work indeed!
You're impressive with oils!
I like the indian theme with the surreal world and the figures with all those meanings. The textures you created are pretty amazing too, I love how you made the elephant skin and the transparency :) The colours are maaizng too, they help the painting looks even more indian
Quite great.
I feel bad that the picture is a bit small, I guess that if it was bigger, some details could be seen better

Thanks for your comments Armilar. Yes, a larger image would better, but its one of those paintings I never made a photo of that I was ever happy with. As for me creating the textures, they create themselves. That's the fun of it. I then sit in my comfy chair for a while and stare at the results. Then the forms become noticible. I'll paint those in, and so it progresses until the theme emerges. And hey presto, there's an Indian god looking back at me. As for the colours, I often build the forms with a white under painting, and then glaze them over. It makes the colours more brilliant. The Old Masters had a similar approach. But as oil paintings age (given a few hundred years) they yellow and darken, so its hard for us to imagine the Old Masters painting anything bright, but they infact did.

Hey, I love this pic! You show good skill with the oil painting. Maybe it's a little too foggy in the top left corner...?
By the way, is that a rooster I see in the pic?

Rooster? Where? I'm happy when people see other things in my work. I've done my job properly then.
